High Times Highlight: Freeborn Selections breeder Mean Gene is one of the most awarded and well-respected breeders in cannabis today. Mean Gene explains to High Times that Skunktek selected the Wedding Pie (Wedding Cake x Grape Pie) from Cannarado seed stock. The Wedding Pie was combined with a strain that took Mean Gene’s Cherry Limeade and crossed it with Gelato #33 (Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint GSC).

710 Labs Approved: This indica-dominant cross of Wedding Pie x Gelato 33 x Cherry Limeage F5 has loud written all over it. Its buds are rich in violet and green hues with orange hairs and sugar-like trichomes. It’s one of only a few strains that make the cut for 710 Labs’ excluisive genetic library. Like its parents, Piescream turns up the terps with a complex palate of nutty, gas, and doughy flavors and aromas, with hints of skunk.

Snowtill Approved: Piescream is one of the most interesting cultivars I’ve tried recently. It’s got this like gassy and sweet nose, but what blew my mind is the bud has this like grease to it that’s incredible. Normal buds just make your fingers sticky – this provides almost a liquid residue on your fingers that eventually dry out to the stick we all know and love, but it’s clear this plant was finished properly, so I’m looking at this as an advancement in his capabilities. I’ve never seen anything like this before…Joe’s onto something special. Bred by Mean Gene, our cut is the 27th selection from Skunktek’s pheno hunt of this seed stock from Mean Gene. Hence ours is specifically called Piescream #27,” Snow says of the sample at the Chronic Culture event.

Bud samples have purple frosted tips and smell like sugared cherries dipped in gas. It’s incredibly resinous and has a doughy fruity taste that resembles berry streusel.
